The Signature Room at the 95th® feels very strongly in giving back to the community.
The Charity of the Month program was founded in 1993 by owners Rick Roman and Nick
Pyknis.
Thanks to our partnership with a variety of local non-profit organizations, we are
able to have a direct impact on the number of people we help through our Charity
of the Month program. Since the inception of the program, The Signature Room at
the 95th® has donated over $560,000 to 184 non-profit organizations in the Chicagoland
area.
How the Program Works:
The Signature Room at the 95th® offers a monthly, four-course dinner menu, known
as the “Signature Selection” menu. The selected non-profit organization receives
10% of the sales from this menu, which is offered throughout the sponsored month.
In January, The Signature Room at the 95th® hosts the "Table of Twelve" Reception
to kick-off the yearly program and honor all 12 non-for-profit groups. All profits
from the reception go directly to the Charity of the Month organizations.
Review Process:
At the end of June, all applications are submitted and reviewed by the executive
committee, in the order applications were received, for consideration for the following
program year.
At the end of July, notifications of selection and non-selection are sent out to
all applying organizations.
As a policy, we do not meet with candidate organizations. This policy was implemented
to maintain the equality in the selection process. All applications are reviewed
and selected based solely on the information submitted by candidate organizations
and research conducted by our staff.
