Two-part cooking class includes a chef-guided
Saturday visit to Green City Market and a
cooking class on Sunday focused on brunch specialties
Executive Chef Patrick Sheerin at The Signature Room at the 95th can't wait to pick his produce at Chicago's Green City Market, and he wants to share his enthusiasm with his next cooking class students. During the special two-part Garden-Fresh Cooking Class scheduled for Saturday, July 21 and Sunday, July 22, participants will have an opportunity to shop with Chef Sheerin for fresh produce at Saturday's Green City Market. Ingredients purchased that morning will be used in Sheerin's Sunday morning class where participants learn to make several Signature Sunday Brunch recipes. After the class, all participants will enjoy the lavish Sunday Brunch with champagne and live jazz entertainment offered in the restaurant.
The two-day class is limited to 30 participants who are invited to enjoy an entire weekend in downtown Chicago by choosing the Garden-Fresh Weekend Rate at the all-new Hilton Suites Magnificent Mile adjacent to The John Hancock Center where The Signature Room is located. The Hilton Suites is featuring one overnight stay for two in a lakeview suite for $229 (plus tax and based upon availability). Those wishing to participate only in the farmer's market tour and Sunday cooking class/brunch can register for $75 per person (inclusive of tax and gratuity).
Garden-Fresh Cooking Class schedule
Saturday, July 21: 8 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Meet Executive Chef Patrick Sheerin at the entrance of Chicago's famed Green City Market, at the corner of Menominee and Clark, in the heart of Lincoln Park. He will guide participants through the market and give tips on finding the best produce in-season. All produce for the following day's Sunday Brunch will be purchased from the market and enjoyed the following day at the restaurant's lavish brunch.
Sunday, July 22: 1 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Class will learn to create brunch specialties that have made The Signature Room's feast a favorite. The cooking class menu today includes: Hazelnut Crepes with Fresh Berries, Vegetable Frittata with Farm Fresh Eggs, Roast Prime Rib with Horseradish, and a Citrus Meringue Tart. After class, all participants will relax and enjoy the restaurant's lavish Sunday Brunch with champagne in a private room designated just for the class.
